SUMTER, S.C. — ACT, the non-profit national testing organization based in Iowa City, Iowa, recently awarded five Morris College students certificates of achievement for testing at or above the national mean on the Collegiate Assessment of Academic Proficiency test in reading.
The five students are Chela M. Addison, Sumter, SC; Martin A. Jackson, Sumter, SC; Nicole Jeffcoat, Sumter, SC; Ryan Peeler, Kingstree, SC; and Emily Sessions, Sumter, SC.
The students took the test, known as the CAAP, during the current spring semester as a pre-requisite for entry into the college’s new Quality Enhancement Plan for juniors. QEP is designed to advance reading comprehension and vocabulary for juniors.
