The Morris-Benedict Pastors’ and Christian Workers’ Conference offers great insight for effective ministry, spiritual growth and inspiring church administration.  The conference theme is:  INFORMED MINISTRY  FOR TODAY’S CHURCH” (Matt. 28:16-20).  The conference will be held May 30-June 2, 2016 on the campus of Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina.

CONFERENCE PREACHER 

  • Dr. W. Franklyn Richardson, Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, New York

    CONFERENCE LECTURERS AND TOPICS: 

  • Stewardship:  Dr. Cliff A. Jones, Pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church-Charlotte, NC;  Past President of the North Carolina Baptist Convention

  • The Black Church:   Dr. William Turner, Professor at Duke University; Pastor,  Mt. Level Baptist Church in Durham, NC 

  • Preaching:  Dr. Marvin A McMickle , President of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester,  NY 

Registration for the conference is a real bargain at $150.00 per person.  Registration includes the sessions, meals and campus housing.  Registration will begin Monday, May 30 at 12 noon in the foyer of the O. R. Reuben Chapel.  Registration can also be mailed to Morris College to my attention for those who choose to do so.  All checks should be made payable to Morris College. 

The Conference will begin Monday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. with worship.  Devotion and lectures will be shared Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.  Worship will also be held Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.  The Conference will conclude on Thursday, June 2 at 12 noon with worship.
